Dr Louise Segan is a consultant cardiologist and Electrophysiologist at the Alfred Hospital.
Dr Segan is undertaking a PhD in cardiac electrophysiology through the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute and the University of Melbourne under the supervision of Professor Peter Kistler, Professor Jon Kalman and A/Prof Sandeep Prabhu that focuses on the management of atrial fibrillation (AF).
Dr Segan is supported by NHMRC and Heart Foundation scholarships. Her research focuses on optimising outcomes in patients with AF and heart failure, as well as focusing on improving recognition of the important role of lifestyle modification in AF management.
