MBBS (Hons) PhD FRACP
Dr Anna Beale is a Cardiologist and Pulmonary Hypertension & Heart Failure Specialist at the Alfred Hospital and Austin Health.
After graduating with Honours from Monash University, Dr Beale completed Physician Training at The Alfred Hospital. She then undertook a PhD through Monash University, investigating factors which may predispose women to developing a specific type of heart failure. She then completed Cardiology Advanced Training at The Alfred Hospital.
After qualifying as a Cardiologist, Dr Beale travelled to Toronto, Canada for a fellowship in Pulmonary Hypertension, including experience in Adult Congenital Heart Disease and performing resting and dynamic right heart catheterisation studies with exercise. She gained experience in managing the full spectrum of pulmonary hypertension, including patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary disease.
Dr Beale continues her interest in heart failure and pulmonary hypertension and continues to conduct research in these areas.
