Dr Jonathon Habersberger is a consultant and interventional cardiologist. He consults at Cabrini Hospital, The Avenue Hospital and Epworth Freemasons. Cardiac procedures are performed at both Cabrini Malvern and Epworth Richmond.
Dr Habersberger graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2001 and subsequently trained at St. Vincent’s Hospital and The Alfred Hospital.
Dr Habersberger undertook a PhD at Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Institute investigating novel aspects of C-reactive protein in vascular inflammation and myocardial infarction. This research was recognised with the granting of several research scholarships and the awarding of the prestigious Ralph Reader Prize for cardiovascular research in Australia.
In 2010-12, Dr Habersberger completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Lenox Hill, New York, under the supervision of Dr Gary Roubin, a global pioneer in cardiovascular disease.
